NEOVEMOX PLUS TAPE LONG ACTING HORSE WORMER AND BOTICIDE GEL
Neovemox Plus Tape Long Acting Horse Wormer and Boticide Gel offers a palatable and effective solution for treating and controlling various equine parasites. This gel targets tapeworm (Anoplocephala perfoliata), susceptible strains of roundworms, including arterial larval stages of Strongylus vulgaris, and both adult and encysted stages of small strongyles. It also combats bots and Habronema spp., protecting horses for 14-16 weeks. With active ingredients moxidectin and praziquantel, it effectively addresses encysted stages of small strongyles, pinworms, ascarids, hairworms, intestinal threadworms, large mouthed stomach worms, stomach bots and cutaneous onchocerciasis. Safe for foals over 4 weeks, breeding stock, stallions, and pregnant mares, it helps reduce the risk of diseases like colic and verminous arteritis.
How it works?
Neovemox Plus Tape Long Acting Horse Wormer and Boticide Gel works by delivering two powerful active ingredients, moxidectin and praziquantel, directly into the horse's system. Moxidectin targets and eliminates various stages of roundworms, small strongyles, and bots, while praziquantel effectively combats tapeworms. This dual-action formula ensures comprehensive protection by interrupting the life cycle of parasites, providing long-lasting control for up to 16 weeks, and helping to prevent re-infestation.
- Administer the gel orally at a dose of 0.4 mg/kg moxidectin and 2.5 mg/kg praziquantel.
- Use the syringe, calibrated in 25 kg intervals based on the horse’s body weight.
- Accurately determine the horse's weight using a scale or weigh tape, then adjust the syringe to the correct dose.
- One syringe treats a horse weighing up to 575 kg. For horses over 575 kg, use more than one syringe.
- For horses over 575 kg, calculate the additional amount needed and set the second syringe accordingly.
- Hold the syringe with the capped end to the left and align the dial ring with the horse’s weight.
- Remove the cap from the syringe barrel before use.
- Ensure the horse’s mouth is empty before administering.
- Insert the syringe into the horse's mouth between the front and rear teeth, aiming the tip over the back of the tongue.
- Gently push the plunger to deliver the gel onto the back of the tongue.
- Raise the horse’s head after dosing to ensure the gel is swallowed.
- Surplus gel can be stored or be used treat a second horse.
